You should only have that issue with Scottrade the first time you try to buy a particular symbol through your account. The symbol is then put on an "authorized" list for your account, and you can make any future transactions against that stock ticker symbol without calling in.

You should no longer need to call in after your initial transaction for that ticker symbol. Talk to your representative if you need to, you shouldn't have to call in every time.
