Market research firm Dataquest has announced that processors made by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) represented a 22% share of the worldwide Windows-based desktop market in 2001, up from 2000’s 18%, according to AMD.
AMD credited the growth to strong support from small to medium-size enterprises and the education sector.
