Cahone/cahune nuts grow naturally in the rainforests of Belize. They are mature palms that produce nuts and oil from those nuts year after year, just going to waste.

The Government of Belize owns the vast majority of the rain forest.

BLDV is working with the government of Belize to train and help collect the cahune nuts, they dont have to wait for Jathropa plants to mature.

Good for the rain forest, as it keeps the trees from being cut and good for a renewable resource and employment for the impoverished Belizians.
