LOL. Yeah, I guess the difference is that they are not Federal agencies - they are just "sponsored" by the Feds (whatever that means). They are publicly trading companies - but probably not for much longer. Maybe they'll just turn them into a 100% Fed. entities soon (like Dept. of Education, Dept. of Agriculture....Dept. of Worthless Crap Mortgages). What I can't understand is why anyone is still holding stock in these POS's. The shares are going to be completely worthless any day now IMO!
