What does this means for marketers in China?

Beijing 2008 is predicted to see record levels of growth in digital media. According to the latest figures issued by China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) the number of Chinese netizens has exceeded 210 million. Neo@Ogilvy, the Ogilvy Group’s digital marketing arm, expects online spending to reach RMB 17.2 million — an increase of 62 percent from 2007.

China is as vast and diverse as Europe. However, the nationwide fever and excitement stirred up by the Olympics is evident across the whole country. Marketers in China can therefore think “big” when focusing campaigns around the Olympics.
