Wednesday March 5, 10:38 am ET

FAIRFIELD, NJ--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 5, 2008 -- Virtual Ed Link, Inc. (VELI) (Other OTC:VRED.PK - News), licensed marketer and provider of the School Safety Management System (SSMS) announced today a contract agreement to implement the multi-phased activation of its safety and security technology platform for Mechanicville City School District in Upstate New York.
The Mechanicville Schools are populated by more than 600 students in the Elementary School, about 400 in the Middle School, and about 400 in the High School. Mechanicville Superintendent Michael McCarthy has approved the multi-year agreement with Virtual Ed Link.

VELI's solution will be a holistic service for safety and security as well as a vehicle used for development, review, and implementation of the crisis management plans soon to be mandated for schools by Federal law.

The school's cost for this solution will be consistent with the standard VELI contract including an upfront scheduled payment for licensing and customization and a registered user fee as a recurring charge. Mechanicville projects a total user population of about 3000 registrants.

Dr. Alan McCartney, General Manager of Virtual Ed Link, stated: "VELI sales progress is on target. More contracts are currently pending with other new school districts and community colleges in different parts of the country. We anticipate 250,000 registered VELI users before June 2008."
