You must be kidding. You aren't old enough to remember the Carter years. Some of the messes he inherited. Many of the issues he just wasn't savy enough or smart enough to deal with. But the damage was relatively easy and quick to repair. Even the big issues were really quite small compared to what we're facing today.

Bush has left a mess of the economy, middle east, and energy issues that will take years, if not decades, to fix.
