But a more serious impression: WOW!

Thanks Net! This is truly impressive. A full force push to become THE standard in the hospitality industry.

Seeing all the products as a package, I think it's important not to discount how the economic downturn will force the mid-market, casual-dining restaurant industry (as a segment of the hospitality industry) to especially listen to the various uWink solutions. There is obviously a huge opportunity with other segments of the hospitality industry like hotels, casinos, senior housing, fast-food etc. But the direct competitors to uWink restaurants (the California Pizza Kitchens, TGIFs, Applebees, etc.) are the low-hanging fruit right now.

These restaurants are hurting BAD. The 3 company owned restaurants will be able to showcase all of the solutions with very little imagination required. The senior project might take another 1-2 years before it gets off the ground. Microsoft Surface is making in-roads to other parts of the hospitality industry like Hotels and Casinos.

uWink really can cover all of that eventually. But they can IMMEDIATELY COMMUNICATE their solutions to the restaurants that are most like the current uWink restaurants. These pages are telling me that this is the next step.

Last year, the financial crisis really hurt uWink's efforts to get funding. But they pulled through.

This year, the economic downturn with rising food and gas prices is hurting the restaurant industry (casual dining much more than fast food) about as badly as anyone. I couldn't think of a better opportunity for the uWink solutions to shine!

PS - "uWink Interactive iBar" - unless there's a big hole in my memory, this is the first I hear of uWink co-branding with the 3rd-party iBar. I'd love to see more cool tech gadget companies come running to uWink as THE place to test them out, and potentially partner!
