Lefty: I dont know much about a strike against Iran, but about the water powered car I think you are right. Let's stick to that...As presented, this car would violate both the first and second law of thermodynamics.
Breaking water into protons and O2 requires a lot of energy. Even a very powerful catalytic reaction needs a source of energy that cannot be continuosly generated within the system, since:
1). the amount of energy lost in a steady state process cannot be greater than the amount of energy gained.
2). "energy systems have a tendency to increase their entropy" rather than decrease it.
