Woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, so I thought I'd try to get a grip on the TLXX story instead.

And what to my wondering eyes should appear....

Between PKH, the company and National Capital Merchant Group, Ltd (Bahamas). PKH and National seem to be associates of some kind in this agreement. The former head of National, Darrel Uselton, was recently suspended by the NASD: http://www.nasdr.com/pdf-text/0403dis.txt

He now runs this trash shop: http://www.warriorcapital.com/about_us

(Classy pics!)

Is his "Uncle Jack" the same guy as Jack E. Uselton, former CEO of Mountain Energy, which was a Merit-related pump'n'dump scam? http://www.sec.gov/litigation/litreleases/lr17787.htm

Yup, that's Jack (the Honest Oilman) Uselton (pronounced Usselton) of MTEI fame. Darrel was involved with that one too. A classic scam from back in the days when they were new and exciting for many of us. When the SEC pounced, Jack headed out the door with the office furniture and the picture of the dogs playing poker (I'm not making that up). He founded Ibis Energy (also the name of an earlier failed company he ran) shortly thereafter.

The SEC didn't get round to suing him, John Christensen, and Marc Tow for several years thereafter.

These are not people you want to be involved with. They're both shady and extremely stupid. Thanks very much for that link: it was GREAT to see a photo of ol' Jack.
