--Especially since the business plan seems to have taken a tangential path into software developement, sales etc. This must have had an effect on the overhead. I'm not qualified to answer my own questions but it just doesn't feel right.
If the whole idea just fizzled out, then he could go to plan b and turn around and just license/royalty the software. Just think, if every restuarant, or mostly every, [probably not fancy-expensive ones] in the future had their own mini-size scaled down version or table friendly screen, just think of the lowered overhead of staff and speedy/accurate/customized service.
He could indeed do both! Have all his franchised uWink versions, and license the software for future competitor restuarants, but just offer solitaire and simple games, while waiting for the food.
