Matt and Bob,

A conversation here on IHUB about Member Marks today brought up old news again.

It relates to the top posters list that you both agree you'd like to have but recently disabled due to manipulation of that list and ability to member mark.

Although I feel that my prior idea of having 2 lists...(most admired and least admired members) is still a good idea, I think I have an additional idea that would stop the manipulation of the member marks.

We all know that members that have a desire to get on the list will do whatever it takes to achieve that. USUALLY that means creating a group of nics in order to use those nics to Member Mark the MAIN NIC.

Here is a solution to that problem .....

1. Any member who has just joined IHUB does NOT have the ability to Member Mark another member for 30 days.

2. Further, any member who does not post at least 5 times in a 'given period' (say 10 days) will continue to be disallowed to Member Mark another Member.

Is it possible to program the site to accomodate such a security?
