I thought the PRs were pretty clear where the shares are coming from and that no new shares would be issued. From the PR, Brokers will buy shares on market in the US and return those shares to market in Hong Kong as part of the IPO as a new issue. Upon IPO, audited finacials must be presented, in which case the value of the stock would be considerably higher than what it is selling for on the US market, and in theory the brokers would stand to make a considerable gain.
