Every Democrat talking head I've seen on television, brings every subject back to Kerry's having served in Vietnam. This is evidently the ultimate qualification for office. However, some of the same talking heads had a different opinion when the combat veteran Bush the senior faced draft dodger Clinton. Indeed at that time, Kerry said Clinton's non military service should not be an issue.

More hypocrisy, Kerry charges Bush was awol at the end of his national guard service. Turns out Kerry left the service 6 months early in order to run for congress. Does that make him awol?

Yes, we are seeing a replay of Vietnam today. Only in this war, the public has become dispirited much sooner and with far fewer casualties. It will be a travesty if we lose both wars without losing a single battle, because of a divided public, caused in part by Mr. Kerry. The public supported the war a year ago. What is different today? The casualties? I would have thought it conceivable we'd have suffered more fatalities from the initial invasion. I believe it is the day after day media coverage of the war, which distills to death, death, and more death. We never see images of anything positive from the war effort, only the negative.
Let us pray that President Kerry never feels it necessary to put American troops in harm's way, it is going to be difficult for many Americans to support him, having been betrayed twice before.
