Although I have mixed feelings about Exxon getting what amounts to a 2.5B windfall by virtue of the Supreme Court ruling in their favor on the excessively punitive fine for the Valdez spill.............mixed feeling, and yet, anything which causes angst to an environmental group..and perhaps sets back their agenda..is heartily welcomed.

"John Passacantando, executive director of the environmental group Greenpeace USA, said the ruling "makes a mockery of justice" "

Maybe there is hope for Souter yet..he seemed to make a logical decision. Obviously there is no hope for Stevens, Ginsburg, and Breyer.
What a disappointment Breyer is..

The next President will likely get to nominate at least two on the court...the good part is that both being replaced will be as liberal as anyone that could possibly replace them, so net-net..no harm, no foul.
I am speaking of an elderly Stevens, and a seriously ill Ginsburg, of course.
