QualSec to Adapt Its Olfactory Sensory Technology for Department of Defense Applications
Tuesday June 24, 9:34 am ET
NORTH LOGAN, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--QualSec (OTC:QLSC - News), developer of Nano-Nose, the next generation of electronic olfactory sensory technology, announced today its application for a SBIR grant to adapt its technology for use by the U.S. Department of Defense. The Department of Defense recently requested proposals for the development of an Autonomous Airborne Chemical/Biological Cloud Detection Sensor.
QualSec believes it can meet the objectives of the proposed project: To develop a small, low power and accurate sensor for in-situ detection of chemical and biological clouds by measuring one or more constituents of the cloud, such as the size and concentration of the particulates, their chemical composition or other distinguishing characteristics. QualSec’s proposed sensor will have the ability to operate from a fixed or moving platform in volatile environments.
SBIR proposals are considered and awarded based upon written submissions and an evaluation of the applicant’s existing technology. QualSec is confident that it can meet the goals of the Department of Defense while providing a significant tool for U.S. defense efforts.
