If 802.20 ever gets standardized, QCOM will have involved IPR. As you know, the secretary of the 802.20 committee is a QCOM employee, and DoCoMo, Lucent, and other allies are now in control. Flarion`s non-standard version has a head start, but even Nextel has been clear that it will look to standardized technologies for generalized commercial deployment.
