A 40 year old company......
in one of the toughest industries out there......
in one of the most hostile economic climates since the depression.......

is on the verge of successfully navigating their way through the other side of all this....

is presently being valued as a defunct sign company....

I think it's a great opportunity for anyone with a little foresight to make some money short term, and depending upon the post merger financials and future business plan could be a great long term investment.

If you look at the financials of the top trucking outfits being traded publicly, you'll find few actually making a profit at the moment. EPS is negative for many. The valuation will be based upon the value of the assets ( short term) and the long term expansion plan.

Is it worth the risk......to some, no. To those that understand that lawsuits come and go.....to any enterprise doing the amount of business this outfit is doing. There are many reasons to not pay a lease, especially if you know you are going to have access to cheap capital in the near future. Do you really think a leasing company is going to foreclose upon those trucks ? What do you reckon they would do with them then ? Park them ? Sell them ? Lease them ? lol. Maybe the lease gets settled for 50 cents on the dollar with a buyout clause. There is absolutely no way you can assume everything that is being assumed here without more facts.

I have looked at over a dozen trucking outfits....and attempted to extrapolate the potential value of JPT based upon others' share count, gross revenues, profitability, # of vehicles, etc.... I happen to think that over the next year, post merger and a few quarters of reporting this stock "could" be worth as much as 60 - 76 cents a share.....but who the hell knows. The only thing I do know is that "if" the deal goes through it is damn sure worth more than .002 per share..."if" the deal goes through...and nobody has posted anything here to convince me otherwise regarding that. Is it risky...yes. Show me a penny stock....or hell, any stock in the market right now that is not. Show me any stock that has as high risk: reward potenttial as this one.
