Hey Board! I was getting frustrated in not having invested in anything. Needless to say I have reached a phase where I feel somewhat of an underachiever. However, I came across BTOR BOARD by accident after a friend talked me into buyin 5000 shares of BTOR @ .04. Later I added 10,000 @.031. I am taking JMHollen advice.(see Posts 254 thru 259)and adding on the low. I added 10,000 the other day @.03. So you guys have been an excellent souce of information for me. I never had an inkling of an idea of how the stock market worked and honestly never took the time to actually care because all I would hear is the "market is down" and to stay away from the Pennie Stocks. Whatever that means. However, I found your chatter in the BOARD very interesting and now I'm actually thinking of doing a little studying cuz my investment in BTOR is all I have, so I need to protect it! JMHollen you did a wonderful job explaining to me how to get started and answering the stupid questions that I asked.
I have more stupid questions if any one cares to address. How do you get your money back? Let's say I invest now and then in 10 years I want the money I have accumulated over the years. Is that when you "sell your shares". How do I know I'm not pulling a Martha Stewart? How are you paid? How long do you have to wait? Is picking companies to invest in, like picking numbers for the lottery? Like I said, I'm completely dumb when it comes to this, but it sounds like a healthy way to invest. I want to be able to tell my friends, "yea, I buy stock" and actually know what I'm talking about.
Maybe someday I'll be answering questions for some one else.
