Metal doesn't become brittle from sitting. Properly stored, those components could be ready to use as is. If not, they could be refurbed easy enough. The real question that you should be asking in this train of thought is what their plans are for re-tooling to make more airframes once they use up what they have.

The point with advancements in materials was that those 3 little 260hp engines could easily be replaced with a single 1100hp Honeywell. It won't take much to engineer the mount for a single engine. Grumman did it well after the fact with the F14 to handle the engines they wanted to use originally. (the original engines took off through the plane tearing their way out of their mounts)

The market hasn't been there for the 18 seater. Why do you think the original BN Trislander is now being resurrected by them? It's been decades since it made sense because there was no demand.

And if they don't have a facility and the people, the Integrity won't ever get built. But, that little company called Thrush? They have a fantastic facility with some extra space over in the corner for a new project as well as some desire to become a bit bigger company.

Right idea at the right time.

I do question their price point for Integrity. I think they are overly optimistic in what they will charge per aircraft, but if it's the right plane at the right time and they can document the financials of operation, I don't think they will have a problem moving some aircraft.
