Wagon plc - Unaudited preliminary results for the year ended 31 March 2008

- Revenues^ from ongoing activities up 9%, with trading volumes slightly ahead of expectations;

- Restructuring completed within plan, benefits apparent in increased underlying operating margin to 3.6% but further improvement required;

- Underlying operating profit* and profit before tax* have made significant progress;

- Significantly improved order intake, up 30%, will benefit year 2009/10 and beyond;

- Model changeovers and anticipated weaker OEM demand expected to impact volumes in 2008/9;

- Proposed refinancing announced today, including new banking facilities, a rights issue and a sale and leaseback of two German freehold properties.
