You should have read E*Trades new policy on wiring funds * 5 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE THE FUNDS ARE CREDITED TO YOUR BROKERAGE ACCOUNT AND YOU CAN USE THEM.

It used to be immediate, within minutes...

I guess they learned to play the float as the US Banks do and have been doing for years.
