Anyone know anything about "Ripplewood/Denon?

Financial Times..3.8.02, page 19

Ripplewood seems to be a big player...aggressively in Japan.

Ripplewood Holdings, A US investment fund, will take a majority stake in a holding co. to be created by Marantz Japan and Denon, the two Japanese audio-visual eqp.

Marantz Japan and Denon said they would combine op's by setting up a joint holding co in May, w/ the aim of creating the biggest maker of premium-quality audio-vis eqp, w/ a market share of about 30%.

Goes on a bit more about how Ripplewood is aggressively growing in Japan....

Interesting...IMO...nothing to do with edig...
