I have a cousin that works for GM in Texas. I'm told that GM will be outsourcing their production to Mexico. Interestingly enough, GM also buys parts from Toyota but for the life of me, I can't remember what. Also, Toyota has more American workers and factories than GM (that's what I'm told without me doing any research).
So much for "American" auto makers.
I wonder when we'll start outsourcing senior management level jobs to other countries. I'm sure Delta pilots (whom took paycuts as the management that messed up the company were paid millions to leave at the time of bankruptcy), Fruit of the Loom (Buffet bought them out of bankruptcy), and various other company employees would appreciate that.
Did you guys know that the CEO of Fruit of the Loom BEFORE bankruptcy, William F. Farley, used the company's money to buy a Russian Mig Jet? Apparently, it was seized at bankruptcy and sold.
