Has anyone ever heard of UKT Tire Recycling. I intentionally invested in that company, didn't inherit it after buying into a gold mining stock, as I did here.
I believe both companies have the right ideas, hopefully MDOR can make it happen.
UKT had a processor that essentially shredded the tires then emersed them in liquid zinc. The tires without the presents of oxygen at these temperature broke down into a diesel like fuel, a gas that could power the reaction, and as I remember it a liquid that became a fertilizer, in addition to the steel wire which didn't melt but was raked out and could be reprocessed. We actually went to Kamloops Canada when we were on vacation nearby to see the plant, it wasn't running at the time, and was using liquid lead when it did, but I could see what was involved and determine that it was real. Unfortunately they didn't have the needed funding, and to the best of my knowledge the idea's dead.
I hope MDOR can develop the concept they're working with, there are all sorts of applications for either crumb rubber, or what it can be processed into, but it often takes money to make money. Hopefully management can make it happen.
