** There is no specific cutoff value for volume or $volume that would make T/A usable or not...but the lower the volume, the less applicable the T/A....

much also depends on the spreads between bid-ask and the size of intraday ranges...huge spreads create problems on the chart..

I tend to look at the overall chart...some charts have nice and smooth price progression, others are very "choppy"...

I tend to stay away from the choppy ones...some of them are impossible to chart...

When I scan, I usually look for trading volume >$20,000 on that particular day...weeds out a lot of these choppy charts...
