In there is a good quote about Russia how a Russian spy says that Russia is not a threat to the Americans, because its all a lie, the machinery and war machine is just paint covering rust.

Well now Russia is booming controlling its supplies of oil and NG and its the Americans who are not a threat while their military might is covered in an empty tank of supplies.

Alaska has oil, but just like the strategic oil supply, the US could suck it down quickly if it had nothing else to rely on. And in that statement is your answer, the US quite frankly needs other countries to continue to supply them in oils which they use as a mechanical increase in production and leverage.

The USA doesnt want to tap Alaska, its not in their best interests. It is better left as a rook or a knight on their chessboard while they continue to fleece other countries of their oil wealth since they have tapped most conventional supplies already.

It makes sense for the US to support Belize, an English democratic nation against growing communistic Chavez control. So BLDV is in the right place and at the right time in a market that is only 200 miles away from the US border.
