Tronox Stockholders Elect Directors and Approve Ernst & Young LLP as Company's Independent Registered Public Accounting Firm

OKLAHOMA CITY, May 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stockholders of Tronox Incorporated (NYSE: TRX; TRX.B) elected David G. Birney and Bradley C. Richardson to the company's board of directors during Tronox's Annual Meeting of Stockholders today. Stockholders also ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm.

Birney, 64, and Richardson, 49, will serve three-year terms that expire at the 2011 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.

Birney, who retired as president and chief executive officer of Solvay America, Inc. in 2006, has served as a director since 2006. He joined Solvay in 1978 and held positions of increasing responsibility, including global strategic manager of plastics in Brussels; president of Solvay Polymers Inc.; and chief executive officer of Solvay Chemicals. Birney also serves as a director of A. Schulman, Inc.

Richardson, who has served as a director since 2005, is executive vice president - corporate strategy and chief financial officer of Modine Manufacturing Co. He joined Modine in 2003 as vice president finance and chief financial officer. In 2006, he was promoted to executive vice president finance and chief financial officer, and he was named to his current position in April 2008. His previous experience includes serving as chief financial officer and vice president of performance management and control for the Worldwide Exploration and Production division at BP Amoco (now known as BP). Richardson is also a director of Brady Corporation.
