I also called CEO Doug Pritt

Called Navstar corporate office last Wednesday May 14. Someone on these message boards mentioned that their phone # is a cell phone #, but it was far from a cell phone # when I called. A female receptionist answered the phone; I told her I wanted some info on their product and asked if I could talk to the CEO. She put me on hold for less than 10 seconds with some nice background music playing. I soon was talking to a gentleman who later identified himself as Doug Pritt, the CEO.
I asked if it was still their plan to release the product in the 3rd quarter and he answered that yes, they still plan to release it in the 3rd quarter which would be July or August of 08. I asked about the status of the product and he said the circuitry is all complete but that they were still working on the mold or housing.
I then asked where is the product actually being manufactured. He said the company doing the work is AUDEX, located in the city of Zhongshan, China. (If I had done more detailed research I would have discovered this myself earlier, since Navstar had a press release about this in their website)

http://www.audex.cn/audex.htm

When I asked D. Pritt what stores they would be selling the product at, he said he couldn't share that info with me, that he didn't know who I was, that I could be someone working for Garmin or TomTom (Not sure if he said Garmin, but he mentioned at least two GPS companies). I told him I don't work for any GPS company but that I had bought some shares of NVST.

I later emailed Audex company to find out if they had started production, not sure if I would even get a response. A few days later the CEO of that company, Robert Lau, emailed me back a very short response : "Dear Peter,
Thanks for asking this, Yes we are the one working with Navstar.
But who are you please?

Thanks,

Bob

Interesting that he also had a similar question about "who are you", like NVST CEO...

I later discovered another press release by this Audex CEO Bob Lau, from some message board, where he describes the working relationship between NVST and Audex.

So for whatever it's worth, there seems to be something going on with these two companies and I hope it leads to huge success.
