What's the problem with grass. You plant it and then mow it. It continues to grow and does not require replanting each year, no tilling or replanting (sorry Monsanto). It yeilds 4 times the ethanol than corn. I'm not sure how it works for diesel fuel but it will have a great impact on the U.S. oil supply. The U.S. was covered in switch grass when the white settlers came west, it's what the Buffalo ate and the topsoil at that time was estimated at up to 20 feet deep. Good for the earth.
