He is the president and chief executive officer of OsAir, Inc., a company he founded in 1963, which operates as a property developer and manufacturer of industrial gases for pipeline delivery, and chairman of each of Northeast Ohio Natural Gas Corporation and Orwell Natural Gas Company, natural gas distribution companies in Mentor, Ohio. Since September 1998, Mr. Osborne has been chairman of the board, chief executive officer and a director of John D. Oil and Gas Company, a publicly-held oil and gas exploration company in Mentor, Ohio. He is also chairman of the board of Corning Natural Gas Corporation, a public utility company in Corning, New York. On November 14, 2007, Richard M. Osborne, who has served as the Company's Chairman of the Board since 2005, was appointed Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Osborne immediately resigned as a member of the compensation committee upon his appointment as CEO. Mr. Osborne does not receive any compensation for serving as Chairman and CEO of the Company.
