Totally wrong. The ASK goes DOWN when more people are willing to sell than there are buyers willing to pay the price wanted. Competition to "sell mine" drives the price lower not the measure of demand for low-priced shares. In the end it takes one buyer and one seller for each instance; but, the movement is caused by the balance between demand and supply. Sellers know that if a lot of buyers want shares and only a few are willing to be selling then someone will step up and compete for theirs and meet their price.
