I agree that IBM does have an interest to make chips for AMD.
The latest NV40 chip from Nvidia with 222 million transistors is fabricated by IBM on a 0.13-micron fabrication process and a recent article @SiliconStrategies where AMD fellow said that strained silicon will be added in the future made me believe that we might see K8 (only dualcore if that's the case) chips from IBM.
