POW! MOTTO CONTEST & IRON MAN MINI CONTEST WINNERS!
Hi, Fellow POWsers!
This is it! The momentous moment you've been waiting for-- announcing the winners of not one, but two of Pow's justly celebrated, world-famous contests!
First, our "Motto for POW!" contest. Man, was it ever a tough decision for me to make because every one of you proud POWsers came up with such meritorious mottos that I wanted to pick 'em all. In fact, since I had so much trouble deciding, I ended up picking five winners! And there were dozens more that also deserved a prize! I almost had to toss a coin, but I was broke as usual. Anyway, to end the suspense, here are the top five: "The Future is POW!" (Jbringsfield) "Putting the POW! back in comics! (Johnath) ""It's here! It's now! It's POW!" (Daniel) "POW! is WOW!" And now, here's something that's never been done before! Since it's my contest and I can do whatever I want, I wrote a motto, too! This is the first time the judge himself entered his own contest! I'm putting my entry in with the list of winners, although it's a different type of motto—but I think some of you long-time Spider-Man fans may get a kick out of it. Ready? Here goes: "With great POW comes great excitability!" (SLee) Hey, that'll give you something to debate about!
Okay, it's Iron Man time! I was impressed by how many of you really paid attention and nailed the correct answer. And you know it takes a lot to impress me! But, unlike our motto contest, in this mini one for ol' Shell Head there's only one indescribably lucky winner-- Mark Allan Thomason, a name that we, with our legendary largesse, have just immortalized. He was the first to give us the correct answer as to where my unforgettable, award-worthy cameo took place. The answer of course was-- "The Disney Concert Hall."
Congratulations to our winners and, to the rest of you, never forget—no POWser is ever a loser! We'll just keep having contests until everybody has won at least once! And if that doesn't work, we'll take the easy way out and announce everybody's name even without a contest! That sure would make it easy for me—and I know that making things easy for me is always uppermost in your list of priorities!
