...and my recollection is that it ended with a whimper, rather than a bang. He often shows an interest in the immediate impact of posting on volume/SP.

To me, one of the issues of your insistent use of his prophecies is your selectivity. You seem very choosy - promoting some and completely forgetting others, those many that fell flat on their faces. And there's rarely - if ever - any kind explanation provided.

With so many successive misses by Oilphant, I find it hard to understand your apparent commitment to his line of posting if you do not know him/her, as you affirm. What other basis could there be for such trust?
