Not really. OEMs and buyers heard AMD basically say they
don't have a viable long term business. Either they believe
AMD in which case they would avoid long term investment
in AMD based gear or they *don't* take AMD at its word
in which case who wants to deal with a mendacious and
deceitful vendor?

I think AMD shot itself in the foot with this statement.
