@HailMary - Updated
Healthy 90nm Process - I wasn't clear, so I repeat a personal
guess (HOPE!) from the past.
AMD's Cache (Die Size here) is imho way to big - more than
2x the compatitors size like INTC, TXN or IBM. So my hope
goes in that direction that AMD is capable (with IBM R&D help)
to establish a new L2 Cache design which could drive Die-Size
way down or massivly help at DUAL CORES with e.g. 2x1MB L2.

(that will not happen with first 90nm batches ... so my guess
is that we will see a 2nd 90nm version for K8, because 65nm
will not appear overnight - or differently spoken, I have big
doubt's, that 65nm will appear in that timeframe, as everybody
now seems to think)

Imagine a DIE shrink (L2) at the same node by 50% ...

Furthermore, why introduce a DUAL Core, when the Single Core
alone is capable of defeating everything what the Gonzilla
is producing?
