Reassuring soothing communications should make no one feel better unless they are accompanied by hard, confirmable, data or information about profits, cash-flow, positive material events, etc. Positive happy talk without such data or information is the bread and butter of con-men.

I therefore find some comfort in the silence. IMO, it is far more professional than misleading happy talk.
