If you do more research you'll find out that the $10 million is a settlement. It may cover all movies ever made.

Spiderman may have done a billion worldwide, but most of that went to Sony. Marvel's cut was (I think) 2.5% of gross (I'm not sure if they got international money). Stan's contract called for him to get 10% of Marvels cut (after expenses), not 10% of the gross. As you can see 2.5% of even a billion dollars is only $25 million $2.5 million should have gone to Stan. Thats only if Marvel didn't have to pay any expenses to Sony reducing their cut. Marvel really made its money in licensing rights which Stan doesn't get a cut of. Read their quarterly report to see how the money flows into that company.

If you look at Stan's assignment of right with POW, it excludes all IP he created or helped to create at Marvel. POW doesn't get a penny from the Marvel movies.

Even with a blockbuster like Iron Man Marvel will make most of its money in licnesing and DVD sales not off of the box office.

It's kind of late and I noticed Stan (or who ever does Stan's MySpace page) didn't login today. Is he sick or is something up? Usually they login by 3:oo pm pst.
