SolarBrook Water and Power Announces Completion of HydroFlo PLUS(TM) System for Woodbury Subdivision
Tuesday May 6, 9:22 am ET

RALEIGH, NC--(MARKET WIRE)--May 6, 2008 -- SolarBrook Water and Power Corporation (Other OTC:SWPC.PK - News), a developer, manufacturer and marketer of water quality and clean power products, announced today that its HydroFlo Water Treatment, Inc. (HWTI) division has completed the construction of the odor control system that is an integral component of a wastewater system for the Woodbury Subdivision in Concord, North Carolina.

The installed PLUS(TM) system provides a more effective and efficient means of controlling odors in wastewater. HydroFlo Water Treatment, Inc. turned to completed system over to Carolina Water Service upon completion.

The PLUS(TM) system is an approach to odor control by preconditioning of the wastewater in the collection and conveyance system. The PLUS(TM) system utilizes oxygen in concentrations high enough to change the environment from one that produces corrosive and toxic gases in wastewater to one that is similar to what is found at the wastewater plant where the organics are used by bacteria as a food source. Oxygen is introduced into the wastewater at the pumping station and is dissolved and then pumped directly into the main pipeline. These systems are a great alternative to previous odor and corrosion control methods because of their oxygen utilization to precondition the wastewater. They do not require costly chemicals, which are simply disposed of after use.

George Moore, CEO of SolarBrook Water and Power Corporation, commented, "We are pleased to have completed the odor control system for the Woodbury Subdivision and to have turned it over to Carolina Water Service. The effectiveness of the HydroFlo Water Treatment PLUS(TM) makes it an attractive option for water providers that seek to control odors and corrosion within the pipeline and sewer lift stations. We expect to see sustained interest in the HydroFlo treatment solutions as the emphasis on water quality continues to grow."
