I suspect Server Migration and buildout is what SPOOZ used the cash for... Developing a proprietary Trading platform is badazz...Now they will license the product to various brokerage houses. And don't forget the system has to be hack proof of course so who do you hire to do the job:

Again Information Security...
Software Developers and progammers...
Testing......

Don't come cheap.
