I don't think mgmt really is up to speed or has the skill sets from a financial mgmt side. PL is exhibit A. They have relied on ES for the most part, and have not worked the investor crowd ie high net worth indviduals or funds. If the story is that compelling, it would not take that many supporters to keep the price stable. They fumbled several times with pipes and the russell timing, which were very big rookie mistakes. They have relied on their IB with wysiwyg results. The IB is out for themselves, not PPHM. I have heard this several times from a retired IB that focused on biotech and stays in touch with leading biotech players.
