Correct Matey, we were in the low desert. It was pouring in California and snowing in the San Bernardinos on Saturday. I recall reading once that the American Southwestern deserts are one of the driest deserts in the world. I recall reading once about places in the Southwest where it literally hasn't rained in decades.

BTW, this is the extent of the rain from the "storm" we had blow in from the west later on that day. The rain usually evaporates before it hits the ground.
