The Anti-Tank Landmine Detector is the first of its kind to contain a Stoichiometer(TM), which utilizes groundbreaking technology to decipher chemical formulas of explosives within buried landmines. This high-tech device contains a portable generator of neutrons and remotely determines the chemical formula of concealed or buried objects through steel or soil including explosives, biological weapons, and illegal drugs online.

"We are pleased to be presented with the opportunity to demonstrate the unique capabilities of HiEnergy's Anti-Tank Landmine Detector," notes Dr. Bogdan C. Maglich, HiEnergy Technologies, Inc.'s CEO and Chief Scientific Officer. "The innovative system that composes the Anti-Tank Landmine Detector can dramatically improve the ways in which dangerous landmines are located. There will no longer be "false alarms," where a given area is mistaken to have the presence of a real mine due to clutter, such as shrapnel, nails, wire, bullets and other metallic objects that are commonly found. Due to this detector's proficiency, it can eliminate the need for human intervention, which will ultimately save the lives of many de-miners."

The "False Alarm Eliminator," HiEnergy's landmine detection system, is currently being developed under an SBIR Contract awarded by the Department of Defense. According to the U.S. Army SBIR Phase II Contract No. DAAB07-03-C-P002, the results of the tests, as all work under the contract, must remain confidential.
