Because I'm having a hard time finding any other data suggesting that he is indeed responsible for the company's success. As a matter of fact, his name does not appear in any of Hansen's SEC filings from 1996 to date.
Apparently he worked for the company from 1996-2001. Notice that the only proof that I have of this is only his profile at LinkedIn ( http://www.linkedin.com/pub/4/697/648 ). During that period Hansen Natural Corp. went from $0.09 to $0.53 only (Jan-1-1996) to (Dec-3-2001). The rally to $70 that everybody is so excited about started in 2004 (3 years after he left the co.).
