Chevron is leading the Nigeria–São Tomé e Príncipe JDZ. In 2006, the first exploration well, Obo 1 in JDZ Block 1, encountered hydrocarbons. Technical studies are planned for 2008 to determine the need for additional drilling and to evaluate development alternatives.
