Myriad again extends closing date for Tunica land

Myriad Entertainment & Resorts Inc., has again extended the closing date for the purchase of 500 acres of land in Tunica.

Myriad, which is planning the Myriad Botanical Resort in Tunica, has amended its agreement with the Jack Day Perry family for the purchase of the property.

The land purchase for Myriad's (OTCBB: MYRA) planned $1.3 billion destination resort has faced multiple delays as the group continues to work on financing.

A second extension date ended Nov. 15. The new agreement provides for an additional 90 days with a closing expected to take place on or before Feb. 15, 2008.

Myriad has site approval for the resort, which will include six casinos, 1,000 hotel rooms, 150,000 square feet of convention space and an arena. The property will also include a golf course and a water park.

Myriad has also received approval for up to $71 million in tax increment financing, up to $291 million in a tourism grant from the Mississippi Development Authority and approval of a property zoning and development plan.
