SMWF "BUYS" MAY REQUIRE PHONE CALL TO BROKER(s)
Could part of the PPS "Growth" problem be due to when attempting to place a BUY order though Scottrade, Ameritrade, Etrade and others, “On-Line” -wont process a BUY order and thus returns an error message stating “cannot buy on-line at this time, must call your broker to place a BUY order”.
(-or something like that).
Although VET investors will simply call-in their BUY orders, Newbie investors may NOT bother. –If to BUY shares isn’t a “click” away, they’ll likely just move on.
This sucks, as many "would be" investors may lose out when this stock flys.
-(OR drive "UP" the PPS from all their BUYS)
The fact that “Timing is Everything”, by the time you go through the process calling your broker (with fingers crossed-while placed on hold) to place your BUY order, the stock PPS in question could move “away” from your target PPS and thus your opportunity will be lost.
-This further makes your "BUY order" phone call to your broker, impractical.
However, once the share is OWNED and showing up in the portfolio, it’s always a click away to SELL
–(but NOT so easy to BUY).
I think this might be part of the problem with this stock's movement, at this moment.
In other words, if selling this stock (just a click away) is easier than buying (must phone it in and risk loss of opportunity during the call), then it should be no surprise that more selling will be noticed than buying and thus the PPS would more likely be lower than would have been otherwise, had the buys been as wide open as then sells
SMWF failure to report to (or settle with) some brokerage firms in a timely manor is likely causing their OWN PPS to be lower that need be, simply because many investors (cash in hand) cant BUY on a dime. –Pun intended….>6^p
All in my opinion.
