12:28 US to test rail security -- HIET, SYNX

Today's NY Times reports that the Bush administration plans to begin testing techniques next month for improving passenger rail security at a station in suburban Maryland. The focus is not guns or knives, but bombs, as trains cannot be hijacked or crashed into buildings... Briefing.com believes a couple of stocks could benefit from this news. One potential name is bulletin board stock HiEnergy (HIET 2.64 +0.09). Its Stoichiometric CarBomb Finder 3C3 was recently introduced to the market. The co says its stoichiometric technology also has potential application in the detection of smaller bombs, unexploded ordinance detection, landmine detection, airport security screening, bio-weapons detection, etc.... A stock apparently moving on this article is Synergx (SYNX 6.66 +0.78) which has a NY-based division that sells security systems. The connection is not completely clear, but the co has spoken of subway contracts in NY.
