قال المستشار السياسي لرئيس الوزراء صادق الركابي اليوم السبت ان زيارة المالكي الى بروكسل كانت ناجحة بكل المقاييس وانها فتحت افاقا للتعاون مع الاتحاد الاوروبي. His political adviser to the Prime Minister today, Saturday, Sadiq al-Maliki's visit to Brussels was successful by all standards and they opened up prospects for cooperation with the European Union.
واضاف في تصريح صحفي ان العراق وجد اهتماما وترحيبا من قبل الجانب الاوروبي وكانت فرصة مناسبة لتعريف العالم بما تحقق من انتصارات وتطورات في العملية السياسية. He added in a press statement that Iraq found attention and welcomed by the European side and the occasion was an opportunity to familiarize the world with what has been achieved victories and developments in the political process.
موضحا انه لا يمكن فصل الامن العالمي فان النجاح في العراق مهم ليس للشعب العراقي وانما لاستقرار العالم وان الزيارة فتحت افاقا للتعاون مع الاتحاد الاوروبي والبرلمان الاوروبي وحلف شمال الاطلسي. Explaining that it could not be separated global security, success in Iraq is important not only for the Iraqi people but for the stability of the world and that the visit has opened up prospects for cooperation with the European Union, the European Parliament and NATO.
لافتا الى انه تم الاتفاق على توسيع البعثة الاوروبية في بغداد وتكثيف الاتصالات وتبادل الزيارات بين الجانبين كما وافق حلف شمال الاطلسي (الناتو) على تمديد بعثته التي تتولى تأهيل وتدريب قوات الجيش والشرطة لعام 2009 وتطوير مناهج التدريب.
